Gandhi Jayanti, celebrated on October 2nd, honors the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. It is a day to remember his values of truth, non-violence (ahimsa), and simplicity. On this occasion, students and participants often dress up as Gandhiji, wearing simple white khadi dhotis, round glasses, and holding a walking stick to reflect his humble lifestyle. Some may also wear Nehru jackets or traditional Indian attire to represent the leaders and people of the freedom movement.
